I wonder if it could be Paph. Prinsep? The geneaology looks like it could be close. Paph. insigne 50%, spicerianum 32.8%, villosum 10.9%, druyi 4.7%, anc boxallii 1.6%.

I am not expert on this matter but I am sure that it has a lot of Paph. insigne for sure!
Thank you all for your comments.

Really gorgoues!

Prins Paphiopedilum is a reference to the nursary that created it in (I think) The Netherlands.

As far as I can tell they make a lot of what they call 'American Hybrids'. I have one which is similar looking but different in shape which came from them.

As far as I can tell they are crossing and re-crossing this style of Paph but sell them without exact parantage or registered names... just 'Paphiopedilum American Hybrids'.

Here is a link to their website which is the only place I've found information about them. P.P.Orchideeën Cultivate, Care, Arrangements of Paphiopedilum

Dear Rosie,
Yes,this is the site, you know so many things! I have found it also following the tag's info when I got it. This kind of massive commercial nursary always don't want or don't care about details of their products. The plant is realy very strong and without any special need of light, temperature or even water!Actually I had forgot it into the many other plants (not orchids) that I have! That was a very nice suprise for me!

I've found mine is a really slow grower, but I just love it when it finally flowers
