Bulbophyllum vaginatum

Hi guys, Bulbophyllum vaginatum is a native species in Singapore and they are usually induced to flower after a heavy thunderstorm during a hot period. Currently it's the warmest period of the year and they suddenly flowered within a week! :D

This pictures are taken at my friend's farm. Those at my apartment are not flowering as they are not subjected to the "induction" :_(

Hello, mine is kept at my balcony at an angle where it doesn't get any direct sunlight.. Guess that's why it's not flowering. Mine is mounted on a tree branch with sphagnum moss as well. I got my vaginatum directly off my friend's tree in the farm  Do let me know if you're coming to Singapore, maybe we can work out a visit to the farm :)
