Black Spots on Unknown Orchid types
My orchids have had these black spots on them for awhile now, and I'm not sure what to do. The spots turn black, then hollow out so you can see through them. I've heard cinnamon could help if it is a bug or fungal issue. Some of the leaves also have white areas I'm hoping won't turn black. Any ideas?http://i974.photobucket.com/albums/a...e/Picture6.pnghttp://i974.photobucket.com/albums/a...e/Picture7.pnghttp://i974.photobucket.com/albums/a...e/Picture4.png

I would treat it to be safe. especially since theres no yellowing to hint at sunburn or age or underwatering. I would try this.
10 drops dishsoap 1.8 ml cinnamon extract (about 1/2 tsp.) 2 cups tepid water I got it from a different site and I'm using it on my orchids because they still have bugs and the other stuff is not working very well. A lot of people swear by it and say you can just submerge the entire water in the water and soak it for like 30 min to an hour. They say it kills bugs on contact and is good for fungus after it soaks just rinse it well make sure you don`t use cold water. |
Thank you.
Thank you, I'll give this a try and send updated pictures when anything changes.
