Phalaenopsis schilleriana x stuartiana (Philadelphia)?
The resembling of my phal with Phalaenopsis schilleriana x stuartiana (Philadelphia) is obvious. Do you think is the right identification?
My Phal: http://fotografiedearta.files.wordpr...pg?w=402&h=273 Internet: Phalaenopsis schilleriana x stuartiana (Philadelphia) http://www.stenasa.se/blommarnu/orki...iladelphia.jpg My plant has spotted leaves like this one I found on the internet: Phalaenopsis schilleriana x stuartiana Philadelphia |
I would say yes, as this seems to be a rather popular cross in Europe and I've never seen anything else remotely similar. I have one also. As for the name, Philadelphia is just a trade name. The real proper registered name of schilleriana x stuartiana is Phal Wiganiae

Looks just like mine, too, which is labelled with the name 'Philadelphia'. (Camille ID'd mine before I'd seen the label!!)

Hello Nico,
here is a flower closup of Camille's that stayed here for a few weeks. http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2408/...e07029cd_b.jpg This a picture of the spike from one of mine: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3651/...865e7e7b_b.jpg I think the ID is right Nicole |
Yes, Camille's orchid looks exactly like mine.
I am so happy! :) Thank you all for the good news and information. (I don't understand why here they trade ID orchids but without a label) |
