Help

Hi I had cut some dendrobium canes and put them in a moist environment. On wet moss and couir with water underneath it.
NOw i see fungus growing on the canes and especially on the nodes.
Is it curtains or the canes?
please reply, I am getting frustrated.

Is there air circulation?

Did you sterilize the cutters?

Did you sterilize the moss and coir?

Is the water sterilized?

What kind of fungus are we talking about? Is it rot? Is it hairy white fungus?

You know...maybe you can try that kheiki paste instead.

Maybe it'll work for you.

Air circulation is mild as I have covered with a poly bag.
No to rest o the questions. It is white hairy fungus.
I had sprayed keiki pro on it before.

I think you gotta start over again.

This time around, I suggest sterilizing everything. And maybe instead of using moss or coir, you can use orchid multiplication medium. It's available at Phytotech Labs. With the orchid multiplication medium, you don't need the Keiki Pro.

You'd pretty much be doing this in-vitro style. I'd ventiliate the lid of the bottle and put a vent bandage available at the OSP for $7.

Good luck! Do post your successes, inquiring minds want to know! :)
