Plant #2 (pic 3) is a Hyacinthoides. The next one is a Trout Liliy or Dog-tooth Liliy. The last two are May Apple (Podophyllum peltatum?). Second to last looks like verbena foliage - is that an extreme closeup of a small-ish flower? And finally #1 - no clue. Neat flower though. Thanks for the pics!

The last isn't May Apple...
|
I believe the last one is a Trillium, first two made me think of a Wood Anemone, may be off on that though, but I agree with Royal on the fourth one being a Trout Lily.

Good call, Nick. Great photos, Doc. I love pics of flowers with bugs doing their "dirty" work.

I see a trout lily in there!
i just snowed last night....canada.... |
These may help with two of them... the last in this series has the thin serated leaves.

I haven't got any idea!!! Except your photos are superb! thanks!!! as the Morroccans say "It's a feast for the eyes"!

Nice stuff. I put down almost the same stuff in my spring stuff thread, but don't have the blooms for the Trillium or the trout lillies. The blue ones remind me of Russian squill but just not sure. Looks too lily like. I need to find some may apples (mandrake!). Nice finds.

What beautiful pictures! How refreshing it must be to finally have some signs of life huh? :p These make me want to get out and go for a nature hike :)
