Hi Roly,
You're paphs look great! I'm especially fond of the lowii, its such a gorgeous one to have. Just a tip about the lowii - keep it moist, allow for some drying but don't allow to dry out totally - water well when just damp or it will turn on you  You did good! what competiton?? :scratchhead: |
Another tip for Paph. bellatulum (perhaps you know this already, but others may not): this species and other related species are very intolerant of water in the crowns of the plant under most conditions and will quickly rot.
|
good tip ron, and very nice plants roly!! who will be the first to bloom???
|
Beautiful lowii won't be long till you will have a spike  both are very nice plants .. :D

Ooh I see then, this should be fun - nothing wrong with some friendly competition I say
Re: water in crown - the Q-tip can actually push more water inside the crown area - so careful :) I have found it better to tip the plant sideways and blow out the water. Betcha' the lowii blooms first  Happy Blooms you guys! |
I can't wait for the lowii to bloom. I do that too blow on it to try to get rid of the water. However I water early in the morning so that there will be time for the water to evaporate if there is any I don't get to dry.
