Root length on cuttings before potting

I got some cuttings of ludisia discolor from my uncle and was told to put them in water til new roots started sprouting from the nodes. Well now, a couple of weeks later there are little white nubbens coming from several of the nodes. My question is how long should I let those grow before moving the cuttings to a pot? Also should i put a bit of orchid food into the water that they're sitting in ? (obviously a very diluted amount)

Hi Starcat,

I have the same chid as you, picked it up a a local show 2 years ago. As it grew bigger I repotted it and broke off some of the larger growths and just added it to the pot. They took off easily. I'd go ahead and plant them. Good luck. I like the little blooms it makes and the rest of the time the plant is pretty too.
