Has this happened to you?
 

Has anyone else had a fern show up in their flasks. This is a picture of a flask of Catts with a fern happily growing. Of course I went in and removed it, but I am wondering how often this happens.

it's a very rare occurance. usually, it requires 2 fern spores to land in your flask

Interesting , Not had one show up in a flask but did have a maiden hair grow out of the bottom of a s/h pot . I had a maiden hair fern several years ago . It now has a pot of it's own .. Gin

Nope, never. Probably in with the collected seed. If they just fell in the flask, you'd likely have other contamination as well.

Thanks for the input. Not long ago all I could grow in flask was mold, now I can add ferns to the list.
