Hullo!
After lurking for a while, I finally decided to join this forum.
I've been keeping orchids for the better part of 28 years, but do not consider myself an expert by a long shot...so I beg forgiveness in advance for any dumbness. Currently, I have about twenty orchids: 4 NOID phals, 5 dendrobiums, and 11 catts, and 3 spiranthes I need to get planted in spring. I live in North Carolina. My favorite genera to keep are: Cattleyas, Dendrobiums, and Vandas. (But I appreciate most others.) My hobbies: Birding, Astronomy, Photography, Music. I'm right-brained, so if I seem odd, chalk it up to that! Guess I can't think of too much else to add aside from "Hi!" |
Welcome to the Orchid Board. I also share your interest in astronomy. :)

Welcome to the Board! And remember, there are NO dumb questions (except those that aren't asked). So please ask! Lots of people, with years of collective experience growing under a wide range of conditions, love to "talk orchids" and share their experiences.

LOL. I know there are no dumb questions!! When I first started keeping orchids, I'm pretty sure I drove the owner of an orchid nursery nuts with questions, but she graciously answered them.
I don't know what happened to that nursery, but Sandra, if you're out there somewhere, many thanks!! |
Welcome MV :)

Welcome!

Welcome! I'm sure most orchid enthusiast will happily dabble with any conversation about orchid. It's hard to find anyone to talk about orchid because it's all about tropical houseplants nowaday.
|
Wait, there's other plants?

Welcome!
