Keiki, mutation or something else?

Hello,

I have been growing Phals for a while and have only now found this forum!

Recently one of my Phals has been growing like crazy. In 5 months it developed two healthy gorgeous leaves and multiple roots. Few days ago I noticed what I thought was a new stem. But yesterday, after closer inspection, I saw that it has leafs?

Do you think this is a keiki in a weird place? I have never seen something like that.

Thank you!

It may be a flower stem developing a keikii. Time will make it clear.

Orchids teach patience. Just watch and wait, and the plant will tell you. :)

Orchids'll do interesting things, especially the heavily-hybridized ones. Part of their charm.
