C. violacea 'Muse'

This one is quite a popular one that a lot of people grow. I got this early last year - roughly twice twice the number of bulbs, which was immediately divided when it arrived ----- and then gave half to a good local friend that was getting back into some orchid growing again.
Some early signs already of flowers that we will see from this one in the near future. I have seen the flowers of it before, and noticed that the violet colour can 'jump out' ----- sort of like flourescent marker type of effect. Just looking at it with own eyes that is. There are certainly other orchid flowers that have that sort of appealing feature. I read that C. violacea is a warm grower and can't take night time temps below 65-60 oF (15 oC). Do you grow this outdoors? What are your conditions like?

I grow it outdoors --- under a balcony. |

Almost ready. Its next-door neighbour is Ctt. Porcia 'Cannizaro'.

Can't wait for this one SP,
it made me check on the progress of one of my Catts and I am 99% sure something has been nibbling on it... Mites? Who knows. Actually I think I can see mites. Better go spray it. Where are these buggers coming from, this is starting to get ridiculous. This one is 10 meters from the last mite outbreak I had https://i.ibb.co/f4rqjMy/IMG-0434.jpg |
Nice timing with the checking Shade! I support that move to spray. And then a little compressed air gun to gently blow out any liquid that might settle inside the sheath. Lots of nice flower buds there!
