A. A. Chadwick, 1930-2021
Arthur Chadwick's writings are the reason I have been able to grow Cattleyas successfully. He will be missed, but lives on through his countless publications, hybrids, and species Cattleyas.
His obituary is here: Arthur Chadwick Obituary (1930 - 2021) - Hockessin, Delaware, DE - Richmond Times-Dispatch |
A life well lived. What a legacy.
My Cattleya lueddemanniana 'Arthur Chadwick', HCC/AOS original division is in bud :) One of my favorite plants. |
Yes, great honor is due. He wrote exceedingly useful books and articles.

Rest In Peace and thank you, sir

That is too sad. When I was growing all those huge species Cattleyas, his fantastic articles were my guide, especially when I was accidentally sent a dowiana. I will forever be grateful to him and his son for the knowledge shared on that website.

I bought an e-book version of The Classic Cattleyas 2nd Edition - not that long ago. Happy to have bought one.
