Ecuagenera Home Shipment #2
Hello Friends.
I received my second direct to home shipment from Ecuagenera today. My previous shipment got lost in the mail and showed up 3 weeks late and I couldn't get Ecuagenera to respond to my emails so my review wasn't stellar. However I was surprised that the plants survived. They ship healthy plants at a good price and have a great selection so I placed another order. This one was not delayed and I am very pleased. Phragmipedium besseae 'Chiguinda' Phragmipedium pearcei Phragmipedium schlimii Phragmipedium Ecuagenera Dream Cattleya Iricolor Encyclia Patens All the phrags are super healthy multi growth plants as I was advised they'd be. There really is no better source for reasonably priced Phrags. The catteya iricolor is the best score in my opinion. Huge rare plant, 4 green sheaths with developing buds and 4 new growths for $30? Can't beat that. Hammer--- I know you've had issues with shipments from them but they are still my #1 vendor for price/plant size and diversity of their playlist.
schlimii--- remember the picture of schlimii I posted that Jay Pfahl sent me from Colombia this summer? Just so you don't forget where they come from....;) |
Total scores!
I love them Also, that picture is one of my favorite images of all time. Burned into my brain since you first shared it |
Good luck with your new additions! I hope you will soon be sharing photos of blooms with us!

I have a third order inbound with two Miltoniopsis and a mini catt (Cattleya dowiana-Beaufort!!!). I received a message from Ecuagenera that the plants had arrived in Florida and were ready to ship but one of the miltoniopsis was in bad shape.
They gave me a credit and asked if I'd like to apply to a new order (they know me pretty well at this point!). I ordered the following: Acianthera sonderiana īGigi` Encyclia osmantha Miltonia spectabilis var. moreliana Lepanthes Sherry Bridyham Good for ecuagenera for notifying me of the bad plant and proactively giving me credit. They are getting this home delivery thing figured out. Must stop buying orchids!! |
They have always been a decent company but, in the past, they had a real challenge by having to ship across the border and directly to the home which required plants to be bare-root. Now, with a base in Florida, they are able to inspect the plants before sending them onward.
Good luck with the plants in shipment #3. :) |
