Still in bloom a month later. 4 blooms in all but it currently only has two. The first bloom that I posted a month ago is now starting to fade. The fourth bloom was broken off while I was away. :(

Really interesting... C. percivaliana x jenmanii. Two species with very long, tubular lips. What is the fragrance like? Some people aren't fond of percivaliana.

It is very pleasant and strongest at mid day. Sweet and as expected, floral. I wouldn't mind being in a small room full of these flowers.
But trying to describe a fragrance is almost like trying to describe a colour to someone who has never seen colours.
I don't know of any other plants with a similar smell. It is different from my other Catts.

Sounds like it got Jenmanii's fragrance :) Percivaliana's fragrances smells like moldy cheerios to my nose...

Cool, good to know too. I have a C. jenmanii but it has refused to bloom in some time.
Infact, I'm not even sure I still have it. That would explain the lack of blooms. :blushing:

What a beautiful orchid! I am so glad that you get to enjoy fragrance with it, too. :)
