Curious what other plants senior ( and others ) members are into?

Just curious about what other plants you are into . Any favorites besides orchids? Would love pictures. I have always loved plants so I'm always interested.

I love carnivores ( recently got into them in like end of 2018 ) , and always on the look out for interesting ones. Also who doesn't like the fact that they eat nasty fungus gnats ?

My pings do well in the same environment as my Orchids so win win .

My plant time is split between my orchids and my orchard (that gets confusing for people). It’s only a mini-orchard with about 30 trees that will eventually be pruned down to 20. Our long rambling back yard is split into a dry slope (figs, olives, pomegranates and other Mediterraneans), a narrow strip of near flat land (all citrus), a well sheltered bit (papaya, babaco, guava, tamarillo) and a shady bit of poor quality land where I grow native fruit trees (finger lime, Davidson’s plum, midgenberry, blackapple and other rainforest species).

All the trees are young and not producing much as yet.

I’m not going to post a photo as I’m embarrassed about how neglected it is as i don’t have much time for it while I build our house. Like my orchids my goal for the next couple of years is just to keep them alive, then clean things up and restore when I have the time.

I don’t grow any other type of plant. I would maybe like to grow vireya rhododendrons when the time comes.

Love Clivias, Hippeastrum and other indoor plants with seasonal needs, it's fun.

Veggies of all kinds. I have raised beds going all year, and they provide a surprising amount of produce for our household of 2. Presently harvesting swiss chard, kale, green onion tops, parsley, and lettuce. Summer will bring cucumbers, eggplant. tomatoes, summer squash, broccoli. Last year I discovered two new varieties of eggplant, the Annina (striped) and the Caspar (white, of course).

I currently also have an aerogarden, a little strawberry garden (under lights) and a pot of herbs (the last aerogarden batch).

I do have outdoor plants but they are the more ordinary sort, nowadays. In the past, I had fruit trees, a pond, and an herb garden. I still grow some herbs but not nearly as many. The only fruit I grow now are the red currents, a pair of Tophat Blueberries in containers, arctic raspberries (birds have gotten all of them, two years in a row!) and strawberries.

*edited to indicate that I have no idea what type of ping I have and to clarify that Prince Rupert is a scented geranium

I grow quite a few Clivia. A few pictures below.
Chubbs Peach, lovely colour, not so nice shape.
Can't remember which one this is without checking my records. Edit..remembered its an Anderson's Peach
A couple of bronzes.
A nobilis cross.
Nice deep orange.

Various plants in the garden ranging from leucadrons, eremophila, crepe myrtle, fruit trees, geisha girl plant, a pink limonium, bottle brushes etc etc.

The garden definitely has a Salvia thing going on. They grow really well here, we have all colours, shapes and sizes. The native blue banded bees and the New Holland Honeyeaters love them.

Way back when...when I was in grad school and volunteered at what is now the Atlanta Botanical Garden, I had more than 500 tropical plants in a 900 square foot rental home.

When I moved for my first job, I limited what I took with me to the few orchids, bromeliads and staghorn ferns, plus a few specimen dracaenas.

Now that my collection exploded then recompressed, the orchids are still the stars, but I have a few bromeliads, a couple of neomaricas, clivias, herbs, vegetables, camellias, and a single, heirloom fig.

However, I must say that I do routine battle with an entirely new array of outdoor plants than I have ever dealt with, including several types of palms.

In the yard, my "showpieces" are a couple of cycads that have taken full advantage of KelpMax to grow and branch - one is about 6' tall with 4 pups that have 3' fronts, and the smaller one is about 3' tall with 3 pups of similar size.
