if you have a phal(s) that live/grow in low light, i's like to see a picture or description of your phal in its living place/light.
especially if it's in reproduction/bud/blooming stage.

i'm trying to prepare to experiment. :blushing:

thanks! no worries! :D

How low is “low”?

My phals grow on my deck, up against the north-facing wall of the house, in the summer. Never direct sun, but the sky is pretty bright. In the winter, they are in the kitchen, on the opposite side of the windows they were against all summer.

There used to be a grower in south New Jersey whose phalaenopsis were grown in a greenhouse kept very hot and very humid. That led to there being such a heavy growth of algae on the glazing that almost no sunlight penetrated it. Seriously - stepping in from the outside, it took a minute or so for your eyes to adjust to the darkness, but when they did, you were rewarded with some of the best growing and blooming plants I have ever seen.

wow! on that inside operation.

as far as how low is low... well, i thought with a photo i can tell. however, your descriptions were great.

the inside (my head) gist of my interest is simply a place for mine where i don’t have to move it every day AND pisdibly lose my extra (1) lamp.

oops ... gotta run. that was a great and very helpful description.

Thank you, Ray
