ID for dark pink Cattleya
 

Need ID help!

• Bought this from someone as Cattleya mossiae alba.
  
• Just bloomed, clearly not that, unfortunately.
  
• Can anyone suggest an ID for it?
  
• Hoping it's a species over a hybrid, not sure if anyone will know for sure though.

Notes for description:

• Darker lip than petals
  
• Veins running along the bottom of the lip - appear to be mostly yellow
  
• White anther cap
  
• Fairly fragrant
  
• The plant is pretty large, height of pseudobulbs and leaves are probably a little over 12 inches, and nicely proportioned. Defnitely not small or stumpy. Not leggy either, though.

I think this looks a bit like trianei. Yes?

Have you tried contacting the person you got it from? Labeling mistakes can happen, and perhaps they'll know what is the true ID of this plant.

Hard to assess at the moment GDU ....... since the lip hasn't opened fully, and is even blocking the view of most of the throat.

The colour is nice.

I have the Mossiae coruela and the first time it bloomed it was like that, unopened normally. Mine is almost white and the leaves are thin and long.
