Dendrobium in bloom

This 10+ year old plant becomes the focal point of my garden every spring.
It has a diameter of about one meter and when it blooms it is truly a sight that I would like to share.
I don't know what kind of dendrobium it is and I'm curious to hear from the forum members.

Wow that is just FABULOUS! What a lovely spring it must be for you each year

A nobile type maybe?

Thanks Diane, it looks like that.
Here its popular name is "doll's eye".

Does it have a scent? It looks like Dendrobium anosmum.

That is quite a display! Wow!

It looks like there is another specimen plant growing in a tree in the background, just right of center. I’m curious what it is?

My sense of smell isn't very good, but it doesn't feel scented.
Looking at the pictures of Dendrobium anosmum, it appears that the bloom tends to hang down while these flowers are more upright.

It is the same plant but it hasn't bloomed yet.
Every now and then the big plant loses a few pieces and then I mount them on some other tree.
As soon as a bit of sun comes out, I try to take some more photos of the little ones.

With your mention of 'dolls eye' I did a quick google search and came up with some Dendrobium Nobile Orquidea Doll Eye photos. Some are a little blurry but might help.

It looks to me like Den. nobile . Spectacular specimen plant!
