Black spots on leaves: Aerangis fastuosa, Bulbophyllum longissimum & Phalaenopsis bra
3 Attachment(s)
Hi!
I have black dots on the leaves of different orchids. It does not spread quickly and looks harmless. I am curious about what it can be. Do you know what it can be? The humidity is between 65-80%. Fans for air circulation are running. Temperatures are between 60 ° F - 75 ° F (16 ° C - 24 ° C). If you need more information please let me know! |
Not for sure what they are, but they look harmless, and they're not spreading, so you are fine. Plants are living things, just like we are. Sometimes we get scrapes and cuts and bruises that we can't explain. Plants are also susceptible to the same kind of mechanical damage. You may never know what caused it, but if the plant is healthy and it isn't spreading like a disease would, then you have nothing to worry about. I don't think you'll ever find an orchid with perfectly pristine, unblemished leaves.

Thanks for your reply. You are certainly right that the leaves are never perfect. I might have thought of sunburn when tiny droplets remain on the leaves. It's just curiosity to want to know what it is
