These are the Orchids in my neighborhood, they're the orchids that you meet each day

My Neighbor and I have been seeding the neighborhood for years....well She for 20+ years, me for 2...

and it makes for a nice view when you walk around our block.

Seems to me that bare hydrant is a missed opportunity for a lithophyte! :)

Connie Star 03-25-2020 11:29 AM

I just took a virtual stroll in your neighborhood. Thanks.

Very nice! I'm jealous--no orchids on trees here unless there is a sprinkler head right above.!

Russell7 03-29-2020 05:41 AM

Wow, I can barely keep a phalaenopsis alive in a pot and you just grow them on trees without any difficulty .

DirtyCoconuts 03-29-2020 11:00 AM

i take zero credit- i was born here

I see a whole lot of tree trunks to fill.

camille1585 06-25-2020 04:08 PM

I love your neighborhood! That tree in your new photos looks absolutely covered in all sorts of orchids, bromeliads and I think a staghorn fern near the base?

All I see growing in the trees here are horrible nastyoak processionary caterpillars which shed zillions of rash and allergy inducing hairs on any unsuspecting passerby.
