Nice pictures. The hairy pod is wonderful. It's making me lick my lips.

Cool pictures.

WhiteRabbit 04-29-2016 08:07 PM

Cool!

Hehe, those pics made me smile. Thought they might bring others a chuckle.

The first one conjured up images of a dinosaur that had something very fluffy hidden in its mouth. "Dino! Put that kitty down! How many times do I have to tell you?!"

The second one reminded me of a cartoon alien with a helmet. Either Gazoo from the Flintstones or the one from Looney Tunes.

It's fun watching it transform.

Now it looks like it has a helmet on it.

I agree! It's been a funny little transformation. It looks like it's stuck in the helmet. One little 'arm' flung out and one stuck to its side.

I'd make a terrible botanist…always anthropomorphizing the specimens. ;)

A lot of Paphs remind me of old men with big chins and hairy ears.

One kid told me the lip of my Paph. primulinum looked like a nose when viewed from the side.

Tindomul 10-28-2016 10:20 PM

Like a hairy space alien egg. Cool progression pics.

PaphLover 10-29-2016 12:40 PM

It and the primulinum are still blooming away. Haven't taken a break yet. How long do these sequentials keep going? And is there a point at which you should cut off the spike to allow them to rest and regroup for next year?

Just curious!
