Just starting to bloom. It had 10 buds but the last few blasted. Best I've done with it so far. Great fragrance, the only thing that would make it better would be for the bloom to be flatter.

Great plant that doesn't take up a lot of space.

Never gotten around to picking one of these up though the thought has crossed my mind on more than one occasion. Cute flowers. :)

Definitely cute! They really won't open any further than that?

I've had this plant for at least 5 yrs. and I don't remember it ever being much flatter in form than this.
I think it would be much nicer if it was. You can see in the lateral view of the rear flower how much forward the petals are from the sepals.

That's really nice. The lip on yours has more yellow than I've seen in some pictures of that one. I was just looking at getting one but haven't heard back yet from the vendor! Do you mind telling me what your growing conditions are? How big is the bloom?

Nice! I have one of these, but the last two years both have lost the buds due to one problem or another *sigh*
good growing!

Shame that the blooms don't open much further for you, I googled other pics of it and it does look nice with flat blooms. If it keeps on doing it all the time maybe it has a genetic defect.

I actually love that it's not flatter. It gives it character. It looks so cute! And I love the colors. Now I want one of those...

Growing on a bakers rack near a south facing window (indoor grower). Winter temps are 68-70° days, nights 62°F. Supplemental humidity in winter of approx 50-55%. Plant size: pseudobulbs approx. 5", leaves 4½" x 1½", 3 per cane. Flower size: 2½" spread, sepal to sepal, 1½" petal to petal.

Hope this helps!
