New Masdie and Den...in bloom on delivery!

I got two deliveries today, one from EOoM and one from IN Komoda...it's a really good day in Spring Hill, Florida! ;)

A number of the Masdies have buds and everything from both places look great but these two are blooming like crazy!

The Den Mingle's Sapphire (mark one off my wish-list ;) ) is from EOoM and the Masd Maui Prince is from Ivan Komoda...

I've wanted this Den for quite some time, really happy I got it...but...it calls for cooler temps and I didn't realize it was as big as it is! I'm thinking in summer it will have to hang from the very top of the tank...sideways! :rofl:

The Masdie is so much more than I was expecting! I couldn't decide on what to get and after bouncing a few choices around, I finally decided on this one...I'm VERY happy! :dance13:

Wow I like that Masd! I want more of these! I have a Den. Mingle's Sapphire in a small 3 inch plastic slotted pot with sphag and it really loves it! The roots are going crazy and I have two new growths that are about 12 inches tall and still growing....they are growing upwards and not drooping over the sides like the other mature canes so it is pretty top heavy. If it get's much taller I won't be able to keep it in my orchidarium and I'll have to find it a good home...lol. You'll love this one...it is an easy grower and my intermediate to warm temps has been no problem for it!

The Den is fantastic! :cloud9: It looks a lot like Den victoriae-reginae, which is on MY wishlist!

The color on the den is VERY nice !! Great plants.

Maui Prince is a great choice! As I said in an earlier post, if you keep it happy it will keep you happy with sequential blooms. Great choice!

I just realized that I haven't been getting any email notifications for this thread, or any others for that matter. Just checked my inbox, last one I got was December 31st. :dunno: Now that I'm back in NL and back in front of the PC, I'm checking OB every 10 minutes for updated threads!

Lucky ducky! My Mingle's Sapphire is only showing one little bud right now. I think it got mad at me due to the warm summer. Maybe some more will pop out in time.

Hehehehe...all day yesterday, I kept looking at my little 12" square Exo-Terra (formerly known as my Masdie tank) thinking "how are all these Masdies going to fit in there?" :scratchhead:

The thought hit me last night...yes, I dream of orchids :coverlaugh: ...since the big tank is empty right now waiting for the return of my lighting system, both tanks will be getting re-done :faint:

All the Masdies and some other stuff will go in the big tank and I'll have to figure out what to put in the small one :hmm

The wrong ones for me would be the cool growers and total waste of doe.

Ooooh, very nice Sue. I've had the same Dend. on my wish list. I think it's time I start shopping again after seeing this. Love this Masdie but they all hate me.

The Den is one I've wanted for quite some time BUT I know it's one that probably wasn't the best choice for me...it likes cooler temps than I can give it and it's gonna get too big for the tank! I've got my :crossfing with this one :)
