Cool lover, this Colombian Epidendrum is really interesting with its heart shaped lips! I grow it along with my Draculas.

Yes, Susanne, it likes cooler conditions. I am convinced that it can withstand intermediate temps, but it needs some cooler months anyway.

I grow mine intermediate at best, warmer in the summer. So I think intermediate is safe. I love this species, it is one of my favorites. I've only had mine a couple of years, so I don't know the long term viability.

What I liked about mine was that every growth had two flowers, and since it grows fast... well, it was cool. Plus the flowers lasted forever, it seemed.
