Rl. glauca 'Woltman'

My first bloom on this recent purchase. I didn't read much about fragrance, but it has a pleasant citrus scent in the evening. Now I need a digbyana

Nice, Steve!

It’ll take a LOT more light to get digbyana to bloom.

Very nice! Looks great!

Thanks Ray. I'll keep that in mind.

Thank you SouthPark! Maybe one day I'll figure out how to post them directly.

Most welcome Steve. The important codeword just comes from your original google drive links ..

Once we have the https:// portion, we just add drive.google.com/uc?id=1lgwX2H69uF9DZNYLIBMUneHwHb2AmPDP

You will notice the code '1lgwX2H69uF9DZNYLIBMUneHwHb2AmPDP' in your original link. That's the important part. That code just gets added to the template like the one I used above. And the final bit is to just use orchidboard's 'insert image' button in this post editor, and the image will then magically appear in the thread.

If you go to my previous post in this thread --- the one with the pics, and then click on 'quote', then you'll see those codes.

SouthPark 02-03-2022 04:04 PM

Forgot to mention ---- once all combined, the web link that we use for the 'insert image' button from orchidboard is this ---
https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1lgwX2H69uF9DZNYLIBMUneHwHb2AmPDP

That is ----- if the original google drive link is this ---
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lgwX2H69uF9DZNYLIBMUneHwHb2AmPDP/view?usp=sharing

Then the insert image link needs to be this ----
https://drive.google.com/uc?id=1lgwX2H69uF9DZNYLIBMUneHwHb2AmPDP

Nice one Steve! What really caught my eye though was that (maybe a Den?) mounted to the left behind it... those roots are taking over!

DirtyCoconuts 02-04-2022 11:03 AM

ww- that looks schomburgkish, to me

i love this flower- it looks like a digbayana had a shave !!

Steve83 02-05-2022 10:58 AM

Thanks WW, so DC actually warned me about that one back on 12/ 2020, which was true.

It's labeled as a Myrmecophila grandiflora, but I haven't gotten it to flower yet. I think maybe it needs a wider temp swing, as my lighting is more than sufficient, given the leaf shrinking I've attained and ability to bloom other plants 2-4x year.

I'm not complaining though, as it has been an excellent subject to learn from, and provides some shading for any plants beneath.

WaterWitchin 02-05-2022 11:14 AM

Well, it sure has the growing roots thing down pat!

Steve83 02-05-2022 11:35 AM

Yes, I did learn that the roots seem to become more manageable once a plant's been established.

I appreciate the assistance with trying to link pics, but I'm not interested in spending more time in learning the forum controls. Drive resets the link permissions occasionally, so it's easier to edit them, than learn a whole new system.

Sorry for anyone to endure another mouse click to view haha
