Default Wine net 'Scrunchys' for orchids

heh I know you girls know what a scrunchy is

I get some request for where to find these wine bottle nets that you see around some of my plants. They are indeed wine bottle nets that you get from the wine stores. We have lots of Specs in Texas s I just grab a handful everytime I go. ( I dont drink. I by tuna sammiches and habanero pecan pralines).

You can use them to hold up plants that otherwise would grow all over place and be difficult to manage in small places. Especially these Brassavola types with tall slender bulbs that will just fall all over the place. They are very neatly controlled. If they grow thru the net you can always trim it off with no damage.

I haven't found these but I use the net bags (babybel, onions, oranges, etc). I use them to corral unruly sphag.

Optimist, if you like hot stuff and you haven't had a habenero pecan praline yet?..they are tasty!!! not too hot bec the creaminess and sweet kind of tames it so it doesnt burn your throat. You ears get hot and nose might run some though.

You'd think, living between a few wine growing regions, they'd be discarded all over the place but I have never seen these.

They don't look all that functional for bottles.

they are just enough to keep the bottles from bumping into each other. I found some rolls of this too. I need them to be longer than these when the plants get taller and I can cut that to size. Also the limit to the pot size is about 4 inch clay with these if you need them larger you have to cut them length wise and mesh them together. They like we and everything else has its limits.
