If you have time for an annual repot, sure go ahead. That horse manure does likely need replenishing. (I typically do 2 years unless the plant has outgrown the pot or needs a bigger one to not tip over, but that's just a function of too many plants... mine get a fresh top-dressing of time-release fertilizer every year)

Because catasetinae regrow new roots every year I really don't think there is a wrong way in terms of repotting frequency. There is no setback at all from a repot, so do so at your convenience!

I feed with chemical ferts so no need to refresh for me. I only repot when the plant outgrows the pot or if the previous year's growth is above the rim of the pot (I like my new growth to emerge below the rim of the pot in order to fully sink the new roots in the medium).
