Phramipedium not potted deep enough? Male
Default Phramipedium not potted deep enough?

I purchased a bare root Phrag and potted up this weekend. I'm concerned that it might not be potted deep enough, but I'm new to Phrags, so I'm not sure if it'll just adjust or if it's worth taking it out and putting it back in a little deeper.

looks fine to me. just make sure its stable and doesn't wiggle around. stake it down if you need to. Dont let it dry out. Should stay evenly moist not soggy. Dont pull at the old brown leaves. Let them fall off naturally. good luck!!

If not in semi-hydro and you keep it moist, it's fine. If you have it in semi-hydro and struggle with the dry line, might want it about a half-inchish deeper.

Looks fine to me. New growths on a lot of them, like besseae, tend to want to climb anyway.

Nice breadcrumbs!

I give that a “thumbs up”, as well.
