Default Pleurothallis grobyi

Compact miniature cool to hot growing found in lower cloud forest of equatorial Americas from Mexico to Brazil, making it one of the most adaptable orchids. Can be indoors or outdoors, equally happy in a sub-tropical garden or a greenhouse or on a kitchen window shelf. Temperature tolerant (except frost or near freezing conditions), it’s got yellowish open bird beak shaped flowers with light purple striations, profuse bloomer and easy grower opening in succession that can be variable in blooming times all throughout the year. I got this plant mounted and I didn’t want to mess with it since it is thriving well in my apartment environment while giving it bright shade on the east facing window of my kitchen with an electric humidifier and fan at a constant 80F weekly weakly fertilizer alternated with seaweed mix.

Very nice! I find that mounted orchids are easy to fit into my space-challenged windows.

Thank You, Leafmite !!!!

this is on a 4X4 treefern mount and the plant is mid center with at least 1 inch all around it for space....the leaf is less than an inch in lenght....this is very good inside a terrarium, and definitely will fit snug on your windowsill hung or potted

That is tiny! I am not going to grow these. I don't have the conditions. Yours is very nice, though.

You'd be surprised. This is a plant that really is adaptable, even if it is tiny. I have one that is at least 20 years old, and I really had very bad conditions for pleurothallids for many years (my greenhouse would routinely get to 100+ in the summer).
