It might be up to the owner. Or the snake might not take dead food, and be VERY picky about wanting warm food that moves, on its own.

I get squicked out just from having to feed my cat mince kangaroo meat and kidneys.. at least I don't have to handle the chicken necks  for the dogs- not my job  |

I had mice as pets as a kid, killed one accidently after dropping the tank after taking it to show and tell at school  and then some went canabilistic and actually ate each other not a pleasant thing to find
I prefer fish now  |
