Help! I have some critters that have taken up residence in my SH pots. What are they? They are so small I cannot get a pic on an iPhone. They have not damaged my plants (Yet?).

I really don't notice them until I water, then they scurry over the pellets mostly inside the pot (pots are clear). They are no bigger than a pinhead, gray in color? They mostly walk, but when they float up to the top of the pot during watering - they will jump or fly small distances. They don't hang out in the plant over the surface.

Definitely NOT fungus gnats - smaller.

So... What are they? Should I care?

Thanks in advance

That's it! Thank you. And looks like they are happily feeding on algae and no need to worry.

Yes, they are springtails, they may damage plants by chewing on the roots and leaves of seedlings. Before few days in my house garden, I found springtails were damaging all plants by chewing them and was just harming to seeds. Then without wasting any time I suddenly called a pest exterminator Brooklyn from Exterminator NYC | Pest Control Services in New York City to exterminate the species. Ever since the exterminator spread pest I didn't face any problem regarding such species.
