Default Leaf edge damage... what is it?

Everyone!

I have a bit of a problem with the leaves of my orchids. I noticed today that all of them have a bit of damage on the edges at least in one of the leaves.

Just a couple of weeks ago a couple of them had aphids that were taken care of.

They are by a windowsill. My aunt pointed out the leaves may be suffering stress over a cold draft. I think is a bug.

I'd appreciate any input you guys may have. I've ruled out snails since the damage is not as similar as what I've seen in other threads.

Thank you for all your help have a great weekend everyone!

PS I apologize for the not the best I could've taken, but my macro setting was not cooperating

Snails/slugs can cause damage like this as well as almost any other "chewing" insect like weevils which also come out at night and chew on leaf margins...just some thoughts

Thank you Doc. Is so frustrating not knowong what is doing this.

I've checked the media and can't seem to see anything.

I'll keep my eyes open, or invest in a nanny cam

I was thinking about weevils too. The damage is fairly typical of what weevils do. They are fairly large bugs with longish antenna, so if it's them, you should find them easily if they are still around. If it is weevils, watch out. Adults eat leaves, but their larvae are worse, since they munch on roots.

Those marks look like the sort of marks I get on my phal leaves after I accidantally banged them around a bit after watering and whatnot...did the marks just suddenly appear out of nowhere? You may have bugs, but before you go treating with some nasty chemicals, probably best to rule out all the other possible sources of damage (watering, cats, etc) :-)

I agree. I was thinking weevils as a possibility, but if you can't find any, it's probably not that. Just keep an eye our for new marks, so you'll know if it's insects or not. It could also be a slight bit of rot that healed itself, or like Becky says, just banged up a bit.
