When is it safe to bring orchids in after spraying with fungicide Female
Default When is it safe to bring orchids in after spraying with fungicide

Today I sprayed several orchids outside with OHP 6672, formerly Cleary's I believe. How many hours should I leave them outside before bringing them in? It's supposed to be about 30 degrees tonight in NC. They're phals, catts and oncidiums.
I'm thinking about bringing them in now, 3 hrs. after treatment, and placing them in an empty bedroom with the door closed.
Thanks for any advice you can offer

you can bring them in when the leaves have dried.
I spray mine indoors ! OK - all in the bathtub, and leave them to dry.

Right after you sprayed them. The reason you spray them outside (not really necessary but ok) is to keep any airborne particulates from entering your system. But the amount your are spraying is so small unless you are using a hose end sprayer it really doesn't matter.

I tend to be more cautious when working with chemicals. If the warning labels aren't clear, look at the manufacturer's website or give them a call (or call an orchard or place that sells fruit trees--they would know). We use Captan on our fruit trees. :|
