brown sunken spots on neofinetia leaves.
Default brown sunken spots on neofinetia leaves.

one of my recent bought neo's from this summer has quickly developed sunken brown spots on certain leaves and these spots seem to grow quite fast... I am affraid to lose this plant because it's a beautiful fugaku and I am unable to figure out how it got infected or what it is.

It looks most similar to a bacterial pseudomonas infection, bacterial brown spot I think.
Today I went through all of our greenery stores nearby to look for some systemic bactericide and fungicide but I barely found anything due to the recent regulations on these products ( almost nothing is still allowed to be sold here...) barely one or 2 seem to be systemic and these seem to adress other diseases like botrytis or mildew, but not stuff like black rot, bacterial infections, etc....

So please help, what is the best that I can do for now? I want to try and cut off any infected area but I feel this wont really help in the end and I don't know what to treat them with. the only thing I have is a fungicide for in the garden and grass and it seems to affect quite a lot of fungi, but it's not systemic. I already sprayed it once with this but overnight the spots got even bigger so I'm not convinced it'll work (probably a bacterial infection after all...)

ps: the spots first appear sunken on one side of the leaf but when the spot got bigger it started to appear on the reversed side of the leaf as well

Dries

I could try that, but doesn't it damage the leaves as well? it bleaches our skin and hair so I don't think it's so harmless to plants as well, and do u think it would kill the bacteria or fungi IN the plant as well?

The kind of peroxide that is used on hair is different than the kind Bud is talking about. You would probably find it by the bandages.Good luck with those spots I have some of those on mine too used physan on them, seems to have worked, we will see....Jean
