Cinnamon has been used medicinally for thousands of years...it's been documented throughout the development of the world. Kind of cool to use it for our 'chids

Cinnamons also great in with french toast. But I mainly use it to patch up my orchids if they get damaged or cut up somehow.

I use cinnamon on my plants when I divide them on all my cuts. I also use RD20 as a flush when I repot new plants. It has the same ingredients of thiomyl or cleary 336. Another precaution I use.

I use cinnamon with oatmeal! Yum

As you can tell, I'm not a real "natural herbicide" person.

Heather, I saw where you showed 2 different spp of Cinnamon. I usually use (and stock) the Vietnamese version. Is there any real difference in terms of antiseptic values? There really is a difference in flavor (IMHO).

Heather,,,,what a nice article. I do use it like I said above. I was surprised how much it does work on my catts when I divided them. Ever since I have been using it, I never have a problem with rot around the cut.
