There are a ton of people here who have been exactly where you are, and we are all happy to give you advice as you develop your orchid growing skills from novice to master. This is the most helpful, friendly orchid forum there is, and we are all so happy you decided to join us.

The very best way to grow beautiful orchids is to give them the growing conditions they need. Learn about their ideal temperature, humidity and light requirements. Most of us growing outside the tropics need to figure out adjustments, because our growing conditions aren't ideal.

Later, because it's less important than growing conditions, learn about fertilizing - different orchids have different needs, but they all require some fertilizer.
