Default Winter blooms

Living in southwest Florida I'm blessed with many orchid related traits, one of them being a lot of winter blooms. Just wanted to share a few that are in the progress of blooming this very second.

- All three of my Phals are blooming/in spike which is going to make a beautiful show once they have reached their peak. I'm not normally into the basic every day plants but these three have really stolen my heart. They're root growth is spectacular, they've never given me any issues, and their leaf life spand/ new growth rate is superb. Just look at how their roots intertwin!!

- My Lockhartia Lunifera which is a fairly new purchase from a local orchid farm is also about to shoot out one lonely flower. It's not a full healthy bloom but still brings me excitement because I've only had this plant for a month or two and it's already starting to produce. Plus I just discovered this little bud this afternoon and it looks like it is about to pop open already!

I'll have to keep you guys posted as the blooms start to awaken

I was just walking around my yard doing my nightly orchid check and noticed that something else is in bloom!!!!

My Liparis Grossa has a nice little spike with some buds starting to shoot up! Once I saw that I checked some of the other bulbs and another one is just starting to send up a spike! I'm shaking with excitement

My little Oncidium Sherry Baby Red Fantasy is also sending out a little keiki!
