Hey Bob I must've missed this when you first put the pics up (work demands limit me to flittling on and off at the mo!)

It's intersting that you've staked your amaryllis spikes/ flowers. I used to have loads years ago before I was ill (then, sadly, I had to give them away as I couldn't take care of them), and I never staked them (and some got very tall indeed). Is it because, you want to get them as straight as possible? or is it very windy where you have them? (admittedly, I had mine indoors, so I didn't have to worry about outside conditions)
