Default Weird Psychopsis

This is the first bloom on the plant and it is rather different than I was expecting. I was expecting it to be the typical Psychopsis mariposa 'GV'. It looks peloric. Anyhow here it is.

Yeah, based on a Google search I did earlier that looks like a good fit. Nevertheless, I think I prefer the "normal" Psychopsis mariposa "GV". Don't get me wrong, it's a beautiful flower and the photos don't really do it justice, I just like the supposed butterfly mimicry of the 'normal' form.

I also admire the samurai look the other form has..

Look for another one, in time you'll get that to flower too, then sell this one for what it is and someone will gladly buy it.

I think orchidz.nl have one in stock atm

Not to mention it would really tie the room together considering I have a Rhynchorides Bangkok Sunset in this pot.

Thank you PlumCrazy and Jeff. It's growing on me. It is quite beautiful and also my first bloom using semihydro. My wife seems to like it and, at the end of the day, that counts for a lot. Don't worry, I'll still give it lots of care and love.
