I've also been thinking about buying some air-drying terracotta clay to sculpt my own pots! I took a pottery class earlier this year, so I've got the basics down. I just don't have a kiln. I want some flat-backed terracotta pots to hang on my walls outside, but haven't seen anything like that in stores. Guess I'll have to make my own!

Susanne B I love your idea of those air dry clay pinch pots. Where did you get your clay? I was out most of the afternoon today looking for a small oriental pot for my new Wind Orchid which will arrive next week. I will be using the Japanese moss method so I think it needs to be in a special pot.
LOL!!! I was typing my last message just as you were posting yours! Guess we were thinking the same thing How do you like the air-dry clay??? Does it hold up pretty well?
I did a few of them with Sculptey, which is actually dried in the oven. It's nice but it's a little "rubbery". I did one in real air-dry clay and it worked out just fine
