So I was just browsing ebay and this orchid popped up, the seller that sold me the wrong orchid and denied that it was them. It does look very similar to the one they sold me.

I’d still dispute the original charge.

Hard eye roll....

I have learned to spend a long time on the vendor feedback section and I ask if I don’t see anything

I will also spend 20-50 bucks to “test” a seller or see how they do business. Let me tell you, that $40~ has saved me so much money in the long run from avoiding crap resellers and dirty nurseries.

Please do post a vendor review of them so we can avoid the same fate

Does this mean that the person that previously sold you the wrong orchid is now using a different ebay-seller-name? And they are using that different ebay-seller-name in attempts to sell the same misleading-name orchid?

no SP he thinks the seller packed the wrong orchid for his order and has now found said orchid lying about and relisted it..
It is a UK seller that is relatively new to the market "I think", worse things have happened to me with past orders. I literally just made a list of orchids I lost this year or are on the verge of dying which were poor specimens from the day I bought them...

What i meant was the seller is now selling the orchid that I wrongly received having denied that they stock it.

I first bought from them about 3 or 4 years ago, although now their listings appear to be a lot bigger.

I have found that most sellers take responsibility for mistakes or poor quality plants and usually take remedial action - not this one.

Thanks O.T. and JC!

Geez that seller really does some under-handed stuff.

Probably necessary to purchase from that seller's ebay store if the orchid is flowering, and if they supply actual pics of the exact orchid being listed ------ the actual item plant for sale itself.

And if the orchid arrives with a different flower, then negative feedback ----- big time.

The lips don't look the same to me, unless the white midlobe is so out of focus in the first photo that I can't see it.

Here are two clearer pics, the first being mine and the second the eBay vendor's. Not exactly the same, but certainly share a lot of characteristics - still the plant I purchased was a samera cross which it is definitely not.

Looks the same to me. Some vendors just like to do the deny, deny, deny thing. Too much BS, not enough responsibility. Burn me once, shame on you. Burn me twice, shame on me. Sure wouldn't buy from whoever it is a second time with that attitude.
