I would say these need more light than Miltoniopsis which are more like Paph and Phals. These are fairly high light plants that are quite a yellowish green when given optimal light. They can take heat better than Miltoniopsis also. I had one that bloomed regularly before I sold it. I did question that I had a pure species and I didn't like that it had really short and crowded spikes, unlike some I see in bloom in pics, so I sold it.

My division came from an old time member of our OS who won an AM/AOS and named for his wife. I mentionned to him I had this division but was concerned I may not be caring for it correctly as the leaves were more yellow than I anticipated. Said this was usual and I've since read it to be the case. Had mine outside all summer but bright light only.Lovely darkish purple blooms and fragrant(licorice).

When I wrote about yellow leaves, I meant this species in particular. Miltoniopsis are very different and generally need much cooler temperatures.

IDK, Mine is under the T-5s about 6 inches from the bulbs, 10 hours a day. No burn, light green, not yellow. When I first got it, I thought it might be too close, but it doesn't seem to hurt it any.

I haven't grown this one..but I did see some this fall at the local club sale. They indeed were crazy yellow and some were in bloom...so yes, pretty high light seems best culture.
