Default Oncidium Gold Dust

Just received this Twinkle in the mail from our own Amichab. It's in great shape and, as you can see, has a few flowers on the recent spike. I may divide this and put one piece in S/H and the other in a more traditional bark mix.

Confused. Why do you call it a twinkle?

Nice plant, but I don't get it. It looks much larger than my Oncidium twinkle.

Gold Dust does look similar to Twinkle, because one of its parents is Twinkle (Onc. cheirophorum x Onc. sotoanum). Twinkle was crossed back to Onc. cheirophorum to make Gold Dust, so it will look even more like the species Onc. cheirophorum. The tag says "Gold Dust" so that is no doubt what it is.

Thanks for the explanation, Roberta. It is indeed Gold Dust. I called it Twinkle because it was called that in the original listing. I have since looked it up. I just didn't feel like editing the post.

By the way, here is a shot of the current potting. The larger one is temporary, but will still allow the plant to become accustomed to a s/h setup.
