Hello everyone,
I would like to show off one of my favorite orchids at the moment. It is not even officially flowering size yet, still in a 6-8cm pot believe it or not so should be quite a display once it is flowering size. Just joking as it is already putting out a nice display. 20 flowers is the record I have seen so far. Mine has put out a respectable 17 so very happy with this years show.
I was actually trying to train this orchid and I've tried to capture what I was trying to achieve but you kind of have to use your imagination. I wanted to have the 2 flower spikes cross and form a heart shape and it has done that but it hasn't come out with the flowers facing in the right direction to capture it well. Lol oh well. It was fun shaping the flower spikes while they were growing.

Nice blooms, the heart shape spike is a great idea, imagine how much that would be worth at Valentines day.

so wow, the smell has come out and I knew what it smelt like but with so many flowers open it really is quite intense. I took the picture of a flower close up and had to leave the room to get some air but I'm all about the strong smelling ones so this one is perfect. It smells similar to a Nelly Isler but more spicy.
