In Wyoming, when I see a puffy Robin in the snow. Then it's really here when the Meadow Larks show up. Even though we are still getting snow. Just stopped about 2 minutes ago.

We know there's no chance of frost after the ironwoods bloom.

As promised, some photos of my weather turtle.
Not so good photos...'cause she's shy, I had to keep the glass between us so that she can show her face.
Got it when she was the size of a coin, now it's the size of my hand.
At that time I bought two but the other one died from starvation...I didn't knew this but when you put two turtles with the same sex in the same space, only one survives by not letting the weakest one eat.
Until today I could never know if it's a male or a female. If anyone knows, please tell me.

Your turtle is adorable!

Spring is severe weather season for us. Thunderstorms and tornados result from the warm, humid air from the south colliding with the cool Canadian air masses.

Cool Turtle! Sorry I missed this thread. For me the first sign of Spring are the displaying Woodcocks. Suddenly one late afternoon in the park the woodcocks start flying and peenting everywhere you walk.
