Default what did you get for 10 years on the job?

thats what I got. An official NBA Rockets game jersey with my name on it and 10 for the 10 years of hard work. I got a 100 gift certificate also for a restaurant that cost 200 for a meal. Huh? yay...I would be afraid to go eat a 200 dollar meal that when I was done they would decline my credit card bec they would think it had been hijacked and wasnt me.

If someone gives you something be happy...........

that its not herpes.

LeMond is the world...Not many of us left and greg doesnt speak to the family much anymore.

The only thing I got after 10yrs was an extra week of paid vacation.

If you aren't going to use the restaurant cert...sell it on eBay. People buy that sort of thing all the time.

Just as I reached 20 years with one company, they transferred my division to another sister company, changing my commute from two miles to 100, round trip.

When I got the awards catalog, the only thing of potential value to me was a leaf blower in the former company colors. It sucks and blows, so along with the colors, reminded me of the executives at the old company...

heh

I didnt think after a few months I was going to make it as I was in trouble already. Had a pair of Yao Ming worn game sneakers he ripped the heel off of when someone stepped on his foot. Eqpt man gave them to me and then I almost lost my job over shoes that went into the trash.....

I dont touch nothing around here that isnt mine. 10 years later I really am very grateful for the time I have spent here.

Ive seen great shows like the Rolling Stones (3) times. The Who (2) times The Eagles (4) times , Neil Diamond (2) times etc etc etc. Have seen things, got to shake hands and meet people I never would have gotten to say hello to. Got laughs off stars that when you see them smile and laugh you know its real and they enjoyed their moment with you. Lost Bob Seeger one night lol he looked just like the roadies and no one could find him ..

I am thankful for 10 years. I cant do anything else now. Im at the top of my career ladder without a safety rope.....

Congratulations! I got...
A pin. One of those cheap pushtack pins with 10 years and the company name to wear on my collar. No raise, no extra vacation (it was 4 hours worth this last year, they slashed hours across the board).

Ah, I am old and it's not fun. Still working same place for 29 years. Still get 1 week vacation. Annual 50 cent raise. Endless drama. ;-)

theres not much commitment to long term employees much anymore. It used to be they wanted the stability of the career employee. Now they want to move you along before they have to pay you too much. the part timer is becoming the new age employee.
....and how many companies are now dealing with (cough cough) Obamacare by hiring more part timers and reducing the numbers of full time?. I dont think thats what Mister Obama had in mind when he implemented his master strategy.
We have 5 full time people and like 45 part timers. Im sure glad I got the good job long ago. That doesnt mean that eventually they wont try to farm our dept out also. They have had mgmt companies in here looking tossing numbers at them but we run this place so freeking tight they cant even slip a dollar under the doors. They cant make money takin us over...
