Yes, thanks for your help Dave, I have scrolled through Member Blogs and Articles...and can't find it. It was under another category in the forums with a link to the article/blog.... I think. Should have printed when I was viewing.

Can you look on the 'history' log in your web browser and find it that way?

Good idea, but I was in bed with one eye open on my iPad....I don't know if it works the same and im a bit of a computer tard. Not a huge issue, I just thought maybe someone else read it and remembered where it was. Had a neat paph picture and talked about different backgrounds, lighting, angles....I was interested cause he mentioned a specific cannon macro lens that worked well for orchids and I'm presently looking for one.

Guess I'd probably have some good feedback to ask members that are photo buffs what I should be looking at for a lens.

If you're into seeing really small things on orchids (or small orchids!), Canon has the very interesting MP-E 65mm lens which goes up to 5x life size. At that sort of magnification, not only a tripod is useful but also one of those rail mount things with the gears on (tired brain forgets the proper name!) so you can rack the camera back and forth to focus.
