I foraged a few paw paw, Asimina triloba this morning. It's the northernmost member of the family Annonaceae which includes cherimoya, soursop and sweetsop, and bears the largest edible fruit of any North American native If you know, you know. If you don't, find out!

My grandmother had one of those trees. The local nickname was 'Indiana banana' (I grew up in central Indiana).

I like them as a kid . . . until I found out I was allergic to them!

Never had a paw paw. Cherimoya is one of my favorite fruits, family has a couple trees, although, production has been very minimal last few years. I saved seeds a couple years ago and subsequently have two seedlings growing, woo!

Nice haul! I planted two seedling Pawpaws in my Kentucky backyard a few years ago. Now they are nearly 20 ft tall and loaded with fruit!
