Read up on the four phases of the coconut. You are after number four.
You really don’t need much of a sprout, you don’t want a mini tree. The ones I have had are all just barely sprouted with still their primary leaves and no fan leaves

Well, I had to go back to page 1 and read forward again. It now appears to me that the first step in your documentary must be an excursion to find the elusive Colorado River toad, Jeff. Let's start there, THEN the coconut. I'll patiently wait, just like I keep watching my carefully tended coconut do absolutely NOTHING! NADA!

Watering DC & WW this evening and saw that one of my Monarch caterpillars had decided to hang it's chrysalis on DC!

Nice!!! Those are the first of the real palm leaves. They won’t separate and segment for a few but that’s a great sign of health and development
